Filipino Orthodox Storm Victims

On Tuesday of this week, Fr. Philip traveled from Manila to Tacloban in hopes of locating our Orthodox parish members and helping them in any way possible.  I just received this sobering email from Fr. Philip:

Father bless!
Just returned to Manila from Tacloban, I am very sad to tell you that I wasn’t able to find any of our Orthodox brothers and sisters in Tacloban. The situation in Tacloban is something that can only be saved by God’s grace. Please pray for us all.

Thank you Father for the update. My heart felt a heavy sadness for the suffering and the missing from this terrible storm. Please keep us informed as you learn more. I was relieved at least to hear that Fr. Phillip was not harmed. Lord have mercy.
